Chaplain Pete Bandstra will lead our prayer meetings on Wednesday throughout the rest of August. Chaplain Pete is commissioned by the Good News Jail and Prison Ministry out of Virginia. He has served as a chaplain in the Lake County Jail for several years. Unlike the other chaplains with the Lake County Sheriff’s Office, Chaplain Pete is supported solely by churches and individual contributors to his ministry. Chaplain Pete works primarily with the inmates and correction officers of the jail. He coordinates services with volunteers from churches to lead Bible studies, conduct worship services, provide counseling and teach life skills, and grade Bible study correspondence courses. |
